Process Servers have feelings too……

Yes, our certified process servers often find themselves a witness to children in pain.  They often reflect on the despair of these children.  We know our readers and the people we serve share our concern.

There is an organization that works exclusively for these children, its advocates are entirely voluntary and they do make a difference…a very big difference.  We are talking about the Guardian ad Litem (GAL) Program.

The Guardian ad Litem in Florida is an adult volunteer who agrees to represent only one person, the child.  He or she is appointed by the court and is often the one consistent adult in a needy child’s life as a multitude of police officers, social workers, attorneys and others pass through.  A Guardian ad Litem can and does make a difference.  They have the ear and the respect of the Judge because of their unique standing.

The Florida Guardian ad Litem Program represents close to 30,000 abused and neglected children, with a group of 7,000 Guardian Ad Litems, but the program needs more volunteers.  There are more than 4,000 children still in need of the voice in court. A Guardian ad Litem can provide that voice. You can help.  Go to:  http://www.guardianadlitem.org/  You’ll never regret it!
