Hackett elected Chair of Nominating Commission

Jack O. Hackett has been elected Chairman of the 20^th Judicial Circuit Nominating Commission. 

 This nine member panel is comprised of lawyers and non-lawyers.  It sources, recruits and vets applicants for judicial office.  A list is compiled and the most highly qualified applicants are submitted to the Governor who makes the final decision.

Mr. Hackett previously served as Vice-Chairman of the commission and is a partner of the law firm Farr, Emerich, Hackett and Carr, P.A., the oldest law firm in Charlotte County
